Author Trott interview Friday on JPR

Remember Roger Trott? He went to school in Redding, and his father, Eldridge Trott, was a journalism instructor at Shasta College for much of the '70s and '80s. Roger grew up to be a rock musician, economist, music critic and novelist.

Now he has written "Getting in Tune," a novel loosely based on a '70s road trip and other West Coast musical gigs.

He's interviewed on JPR tomorrow (Friday) , 90.9 FM or AM 1330, at 9 a.m.
Saturday is a book signing in Redding, 1-3 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 1260 Churn Creek Road.
Sunday is a book signing in Sacramento, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at The Avid Reader at The Tower, 1600 Broadway.

"Getting in Tune" is published by Coral Press, which is dedicated to musical stories.

  1. Cool!! Eldridge Trott was largely responsible for Shasta County's outstanding youth journalism programs back in the day; his son Greg remains one of my favorite former co-workers (spectacular photographer-turned-feature writer). Thanks for sharing the news... can't wait to check out this book.
